The 2010-2011 season promises to be bigger than ever. On the 17th of September, Chongqing will form The Conquering Pandas with our neighbor Chengdu in the west. The Conquering Pandas will travel to Shenzhen and participate in the Inaugural Shenzhen 10s Tournament. This mammoth event currently has 11 teams signed up and they are: Guangzhou Rams, Guangzhou Uni, Macau, Dea Tigers A, Dea Tigers B, HK Typhoons, Xiamen Typhoons, Conquering Pandas, Shenzhen Dragons A, Shenzhen Dragons B, HK University. Needless-to-say, there shall be a huge after-function.
On the 15th of October, Chongqing will travel to Chengdu and take part in a four-way tournament to take on Hangzhou Harlequins and Xiamen Typhoons. Conquerors cannot wait to play these two teams after hearing so much about them in the past, especially Xiamen’s dancing skills to match with their rugby flair.
In November, Chongqing will be hosting a Southwest Tournament with Chengdu and Beibei Southwest University and in December, Chongqing will be hosting the Blue Cow Cup with Shanghai Hairycrabs and Chengdu Pandas. Dates on both events are yet to be determined.
